The 3nm Exynos W1000 processor makes the Watch 7 the snappiest Galaxy Watch to date — apps open without the half-second lag that characterised earlier models, and the Wear OS 5 / One UI 6 Watch interface responds to gestures immediately. The sleep tracking adds snoring detection via the built-in microphone, and body composition analysis gives a meaningful estimate of muscle mass percentage using bioelectrical impedance.
A 44mm case at 9mm thin makes the Watch 7 one of the slimmest smartwatches with this feature set. Sapphire crystal glass resists scratching reliably. The 40mm option is available for smaller wrists at a modest discount. The best-looking Samsung watch to date. Energy Score correlates reasonably with my training load — I find it most useful as a “don’t do your hard session today” warning rather than a precise measurement. Body composition sensing with BIA is interesting but I verify with a scale for accuracy. Battery is 2 days for me with GPS workouts daily.
