The carrying strap mounts securely via stainless steel D-rings and doubles as a shoulder carry for commutes. USB-C charging keeps the cable count low; a USB-A port can top up a phone from the internal battery.
Twenty hours of battery life at moderate volumes and a handle-equipped carry system make this the outdoor speaker for a group trip. PartyMode pairs two SoundLink Max speakers for a true stereo pair. Sounds much larger than it looks. The passive radiators on each end give real bass extension and the high-end stays clear at high volume. IP67 means I’ve used it at the beach and in the rain without concern. At 6.6 lbs it’s heavy for a “portable” speaker but the carry strap makes it manageable.
