Good headphones overall but I wish the clamping force was adjustable. After two hours wearing them my ears are a bit uncomfortable, which limits their use for long work sessions. The sound and ANC are excellent. If your head is on the smaller side, expect a break-in period.

I use these every day on a 45-minute commute and in an open-plan office. The noise cancellation is genuinely impressive — the bus engine becomes background hum, conversation nearby drops to a murmur. The sound quality is warm and detailed, not bass-heavy in the artificial way that some ANC headphones compensate with boosted low frequencies. 30-hour battery means I charge them on Sunday and don’t think about it again until Thursday.

Best ANC I’ve experienced in years of testing headphones. The XM5 was already excellent; the XM6 is meaningfully better in the mid-frequency ANC where voice and ambient music were always the weakness of this line. Speak-to-Chat works reliably without false triggers. Build quality is good — the hinge feels solid.

Bought after trying the Bose QC Ultra side by side. The Sony gets quieter in noisy environments; the Bose sounds more “natural” to my ears. I chose Sony for the commute use case and don’t regret it. The folding case is compact enough for a bag without taking up the whole main compartment.
