GaN III (third-generation gallium nitride) technology is what makes 100W output possible from a 2.48 × 1.73 × 1.50 inch body. Gallium nitride transistors switch at higher frequencies with lower heat loss than silicon, allowing the engineering team to reduce both size and the temperature the adapter runs at. After a 90-minute MacBook Pro charge session the Anker Prime is warm but not uncomfortably hot — comparable to Apple’s own 96W adapter at a third of the size.

Dynamic Power Distribution works across 2× USB-C and 1× USB-A ports. All USB-C ports support USB PD 3.1 and PPS (Programmable Power Supply) for fast-charging Samsung, Pixel, and other PPS-compatible phones at their maximum supported rates.
